This company is a world-leading Tier One and Tier Two automotive supplier of quality products and services including cylinder liners, piston rings, and bearings for gasoline and diesel engines.
Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented individual to join our team as a Sales Account Manager for our automotive supplier division. The ideal candidate will have experience with ICE Components, EV, and Hydrogen Fuel Cell products. They will also be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the OEM Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive industry. This position is crucial in expanding our customer base, driving revenue growth, and maintaining solid relationships with key stakeholders.
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, In-Office Position
Compensation: $85,000 – $100,000, plus quarterly bonuses

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the OEM Tier 1 automotive industry
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential customers, market trends, and competitive landscape
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve sales targets and revenue growth objectives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target customers and industry associations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product development, and operations, to ensure the successful execution of customer projects
- Lead the entire sales process from attending trade shows, prospecting, and initial contact to contract negotiation and closure
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations
- Provide regular reports and updates on sales activities, pipeline, and progress toward targets to the management team
- Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify potential business opportunities and make strategic recommendations
- Stay updated with industry developments, new technologies, and regulations affecting the automotive supplier market
- Define target customer segments and develop tailored marketing strategies to reach and engage these audiences
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development or sales within the automotive industry specifically working with OEM Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- Strong knowledge of the automotive industry, including market dynamics, customer requirements, and industry trends
- Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities
- Strong negotiation and contract management
- Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
