We are currently seeking a Recruiter/HR Specialist in Novi, MI

The Recruiter/HR Specialist will be responsible for recruiting, screening and the recommending of placement of staff by utilizing company sourcing methods.

While on Assignment with GreatStaff:

  • $250 monthly drawing for attendance
  • Gift cards awarded once completed 1st full 40-hour work week
  • Referral program- gift cards awarded

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00pm

Pay: $25.00/HR DOE

Position: Full time, Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Screen resumes, interview candidates (by phone or in-person), references/background checks, and administer appropriate assessments
  • Point of contact for all employees regarding HR concerns
  • Maintain direct role in managing internal and external customers to ensure standards are always met per position
  • File maintenance including uploading documents, paper filing, sorting I9 maintenance and confidential files
  • Follow up with hiring managers and candidates to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process
  • Manage internal transfer process including coordination of interviews, screening, offer letters, etc.
  • Communicate important employment information during employment offers (benefits, non-compete agreement, compensation, etc.)
  • Manage projects/task assigned from HR Director and provide updates on progress
  • Develop advertising strategies and programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates
  • Serve as expert for recruiting candidates within assigned territory
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals

Education and Experience:

  • General knowledge of Human Resource Laws
  • MUST have 6-10 years of Recruiting for a variety of positions/industries

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Record keeping/governing recruitment
  • Maintain a safe work environment and operation within OSHA/MIOSHA guidelines
  • Knowledge of common and strategic recruiting resources
  • General office equipment including computer, fax machines/printers, and telephone
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Must have excellent time management skills and highly organized
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven problem resolution ability
